Across The Universe

Walking through a field of wildflowers

I stop to stare at the bright blue sky

The fresh air helps me pass my hours

A beetle tickles my hand as it flies by

The birds in the treetops chirp and sing

Creating the chorus of nature’s beauty

I walk to my garden and sit in a swing

Night falls, I’m still here in my own world

Alone and lonely, I am both and neither

Complexities of a human mind, fractured

A lifetime of pain unraveled all at once

Creating a rip in the universe and blurring

Reality from fantasy, illusion and facts

Is your blue my blue too? The Earth spins..

As I gaze quietly up at the black hole I created

Stars and planets, rockets and satellites

They all are pulled in by waves of energy fields

Gravity, we are all held down by gravity
