polar💕bears🐻‍❄️❄️

waking up in our tent, it’s cold now
the fire has died down as the sun rises
we have a silly idea, maybe we should swim
running towards the water we’re both shivering
holding hands we take the icy plunge, oh my
it takes our breath away, so unexpected
we didn’t think this through did we?

walking back to our home is torture
it seems way longer now that we’re damp
i’m grateful the sunrise is our distraction
otherwise we might begin to feel stupid
we focus on the hot coffee waiting..

back inside we warm by our fireplace
wet clothes lying on the bathroom floor
fluffy fresh towels from the dryer in place
morning coffee with an ocean view, it’s perfect
i make pancakes for both of us as we talk..
activities for the day? you can choose.
i love when you surprise me with fun
