Becoming The Light

Once, I thought I was lost in the dark.

Stumbling through the thick air of nothingness;

I would fall, again and again.

Never able to find the light, I was trapped.

My thoughts became monsters, hunting me down.

It took some time for me to realize

I wasn’t lost in the darkness, as I had imagined for so long.

I was the dark, simply lost within myself.

That was the moment that I not only turned on the light, I became the light.

I came back to this blog after a hiatus and somehow managed to get on the discover page with my poetry. Itโ€™s honestly a bit surreal to get so much traction and Iโ€™ve been reposting old pieces that didnโ€™t have much of an audience before, alongside writing new pieces. Perhaps we could collaborate.   47. Once we realise, that we are living in a constant cycle between dark and light, once this awareness surfaces, itโ€™s time to keep an eye on our frequencies. Being in the dark is not always bad. The darkness helps us to regenerate and regrow, like that seed in the soil. Once awareness strikes, grow the roots and the stem and grow into the light. Grow tall grow beautiful. Grow sharing the fruits of your labour. And know, you will return to darkness only to start the cycle all over. The four seasons are within us all. Just become aware.
