Becoming The Light

Once, I thought I was lost in the dark.

Stumbling through the thick air of nothingness;

I would fall, again and again.

Never able to find the light, I was trapped.

My thoughts became monsters, hunting me down.

It took some time for me to realize

I wasn’t lost in the darkness, as I had imagined for so long.

I was the dark, simply lost within myself.

That was the moment that I not only turned on the light, I became the light.

    It’s as if you wake up one day and find yourself alone and lost on your journey. You see the light but it is out of your reach. Eventually you realize you must crawl or walk towards the light. Once through, you are able to look within and find it is you that defeated your darkness. Stay aware of your body and mind and if you feel like you are going into the darkness again, remember how far you have come ~*
